What We Optimised
This 2012 Volkswagen Amarok 2.0L TDI manual arrived with 117,000 km on the clock and wheel outputs of 110hp and 382Nm. Well-used but mechanically sound — and with an ECU map that was always the primary constraint on performance.
A custom remap calibrating boost pressure, fuel delivery, cam timing, lambda and pedal response pushed outputs to 147hp and 443Nm at the wheels — a 34% power gain and 16% torque improvement from software changes alone.
For an older, high-kilometre working ute the remap represents outstanding value. The Amarok now drives and pulls with noticeably more authority — without the cost or risk of hardware modifications, and with the factory file backed up for restoration any time.

Injection timing advanced at mid-range for better torque response
Air-fuel ratio monitored and calibrated on the dyno — not estimated
Throttle response recalibrated — no dead spot off idle, linear and predictable
Conservative exhaust gas temperature ceiling maintained throughout
Properly calibrated combustion means less fuel burned to reach the same torque at cruise. Most owners report 8–15% better highway fuel economy after the remap — with no hardware changes required.
Every remap is verified on our in-house Mainline dyno. You receive the actual before/after charts with your car's numbers.
Your factory file is backed up before we start. We can restore the original tune any time — for dealer service or trade-in.
Stock exhaust, stock injectors, stock turbo. All gains come from the calibration — nothing on your car needs to change.
