What We Optimised
The Ford Ranger 3.2L five-cylinder TDCi is the PX generation's most capable engine. In manual form, the drivetrain losses are lower and the power figures at the wheels tend to be slightly higher than the automatic. It is a proven, reliable engine with well-understood remap headroom.
This 2014 manual came in at 35,000 km — well past any new-car concerns. The owner used the Ranger primarily for work, towing a trailer regularly, and wanted better response when loaded.
After calibrating boost, fuel pressure, cam timing and pedal mapping, the Ranger gained 34hp and 129Nm at the wheels. The improvement in pulling power under load was the most noticeable change. Fuel economy improved by an estimated 10–12% at highway speeds.

Air-fuel ratio monitored and calibrated on the dyno — not estimated
Throttle response recalibrated — no dead spot off idle, linear and predictable
Conservative exhaust gas temperature ceiling maintained throughout
Properly calibrated combustion means less fuel burned to reach the same torque at cruise. Most owners report 8–15% better highway fuel economy after the remap — with no hardware changes required.
Every remap is verified on our in-house Mainline dyno. You receive the actual before/after charts with your car's numbers.
Your factory file is backed up before we start. We can restore the original tune any time — for dealer service or trade-in.
Stock exhaust, stock injectors, stock turbo. All gains come from the calibration — nothing on your car needs to change.
