What We Optimised
This 2017 Holden Colorado Z71 automatic arrived with only 7,000 km on the clock. The owner already knew from researching the platform that the factory ECU leaves significant power on the table — and wanted to extract it from the start rather than living with the limitation.
Custom ECU calibration across boost, fuel delivery, cam timing, lambda and throttle response pushed wheel outputs from 150hp / 526Nm to 187hp / 604Nm — a 25% power gain and 15% torque improvement.
Starting tuned from this early mileage means the Z71 will never know the flat factory throttle response its siblings endure. The additional mid-range torque is immediately felt from the first acceleration, and fuel economy at highway cruise improved alongside it.
Raised and shaped to match the compressor map — no surge, no lag
Common rail pressure optimised for combustion efficiency across the rev range
Injection timing advanced at mid-range for better torque response
Air-fuel ratio monitored and calibrated on the dyno — not estimated
Throttle response recalibrated — no dead spot off idle, linear and predictable
Conservative exhaust gas temperature ceiling maintained throughout
Properly calibrated combustion means less fuel burned to reach the same torque at cruise. Most owners report 8–15% better highway fuel economy after the remap — with no hardware changes required.
Every remap is verified on our in-house Mainline dyno. You receive the actual before/after charts with your car's numbers.
Your factory file is backed up before we start. We can restore the original tune any time — for dealer service or trade-in.
Stock exhaust, stock injectors, stock turbo. All gains come from the calibration — nothing on your car needs to change.
