What We Optimised
This 2017 Toyota Hilux 2.8L D4D automatic arrived barely run-in at 11,000 km. The new GUN platform ships with a conservative factory map that understates the 1GD-FTV engine's genuine capability — particularly in the torque curve.
Custom ECU calibration across boost, fuel delivery, cam timing, lambda and pedal position delivered 34hp and 126Nm of additional output at the wheels. The 37% torque gain is one of the standout results we see on this generation of Hilux.
At 146hp and 470Nm, the tuned 2017 Hilux auto pulls with confidence well beyond factory spec. The additional low-end and mid-range torque transforms the automatic gearbox's shift behaviour — it holds gears more confidently and responds more predictably to throttle input.

Common rail pressure optimised for combustion efficiency across the rev range
Injection timing advanced at mid-range for better torque response
Air-fuel ratio monitored and calibrated on the dyno — not estimated
Throttle response recalibrated — no dead spot off idle, linear and predictable
Conservative exhaust gas temperature ceiling maintained throughout
Properly calibrated combustion means less fuel burned to reach the same torque at cruise. Most owners report 8–15% better highway fuel economy after the remap — with no hardware changes required.
Every remap is verified on our in-house Mainline dyno. You receive the actual before/after charts with your car's numbers.
Your factory file is backed up before we start. We can restore the original tune any time — for dealer service or trade-in.
Stock exhaust, stock injectors, stock turbo. All gains come from the calibration — nothing on your car needs to change.
